What is Lab grown Diamonds

"[Lab-created diamonds] are not fakes. They're not cubic zirconias. They have all the same physical and chemical properties of a mined diamond." - Stephen Morisseau, a spokesman for the Gemological Institute of America (nonprofit organization that oversees the international diamond grading system)

Lab grown diamonds, as the name suggests, are grown in a Lab, under a controlled environment. They cannot be distinguished by anyone, unless tested by a Laboratory.

How are they grown?

It all starts with a thin diamond seed which is placed in a sealed chamber. The chamber is filled with different gas mixtures, especially carbon, and subjected to extreme temperatures which help the gas become ionized into plasma. The bonds in the gases are then broken, allowing pure carbon to stick to the diamond seed which then grows. Simple!

Benefits of Lab Grown

Remarkable value Identical product for upto 80% less than mined diamonds.
Every stone is Type 2A Only 2% of mined diamonds are type 2A, which are the rarest and purest kind.
Eco Friendly Significantly less harm to environment/people/animals than mined. Significantly Less water usage and soil displacement.
Conflict Free No blood diamonds, guaranteed origin of diamond, no abuse of employees, no underpaid and child labor.
Applications for Industrial Use Can customize for semiconductors, solar panels, drills etc.
